I’m the author of the book Show Up and Bring Coffee: How to Support Your Friends With Disabled Children.
A graduate of Providence College and Duquesne University, I’ve been writing and editing professionally for more than 15 years now, working in academia, corporate communications and journalism.
In 2018, I shifted gears and started staying at home full-time with my young son, JB, due to complex medical needs related to his genetic syndrome.
I continued my freelance writing (check out my work here!) but wanted another outlet to share my story as I adapted to life as a mother of a child with disabilities. Soon, my website Joyful, Brave & Awesome was born!
Joyful, Brave & Awesome encourages deeper conversations about parenting, friendship, disability and inclusion. I do this through a well-caffeinated blend of honesty, humor, and pop culture references.
