This is the second installment in the Holiday Dose of Awesome gift guides series. Check out a list of all the products here.

I think I’ve purchased more T-shirts this year than ever before. They are comfy and casual, and frankly, we can all use a little extra cuteness or sass in our Zoom calls right about now.

If you have someone on your holiday shopping list who enjoys a good throwback TV/movie quote or a timely sight gag, a funny T-shirt could be the perfect gift! It’s even more fun when you dress little kids in adorable T-shirts with 90’s references they don’t yet understand. (Just ask JB about his Fresh Prince and Saved by the Bell shirts!)

So, without further ado, here’s a look at some of the best places to find quirky and clever T-shirts, totes and more. (Note that while I’m linking to adult sizes, many of these products also come in children’s, men’s, and women’s sizes, and in different colors and styles):

Saucebox Collective: When I found out my longtime friend Leanne and her sister Kim were starting a T-shirt company, I was positively giddy. These two already have some of the funniest social media posts, and their snark is exactly what the world needs right now. I already own two of their shirts, and will no doubt be buying more soon. Their company’s website is now live, and you should definitely check it out. There’s even a category of shirt designs celebrating neurodiversity. PS: Check out my interview with Leanne coming to the blog in 2021!

Inkopious: I’m almost always wearing dog hair, thanks to my dog Colby’s constant shedding and my apparent penchant for black clothes that attract fur like a magnet. If I wanted to wear something with his likeness, however, the first place I’d go is Inkopious. They have shirts, accessories, and housewares with the sweetest sketches of dogs, cats, and other animals in every breed imaginable. If you are like me and have a mixed breed dog of unknown origin, they even have a collection of portraits of real dogs of all combinations, so it’s likely you’ll find one that resembles your pup!

80sTees.com: Do you enjoy entertainment from the 1980’s (or the 90’s or the 00’s)? If not, you should probably not be reading my website. If so, you will find something at 80sTees.com. I first heard about this site when I lived in Pittsburgh. (Several online apparel startups were thriving in this region in the early 2010s.) The retailer doesn’t just carry Pittsburgh-related merchandise, though – their offerings span the country and the decades. Shirts are available for retro and current music, movies, retailers, TV, toys, comics, games and more.

I really can’t think of a better way to end this gift guide than on a reference to Creed Bratton scuba diving.

As always, let me know if there’s something you’d like to see in the Holiday Dose of Awesome gift guides!
